Techniques for extracting cannabis from plants, such as ethanol extraction, carbon dioxide extraction, or solvent extraction with olive oil, are preferred for producing safe CBD products. Hexane or butane-based extraction methods can leave behind hazardous residues. But there are three types of CBD extracts: isolate, full-spectrum, and broad-spectrum. Full-spectrum CBD refers to an extract that contains all of the plant’s extracts, including terpenes, flavonoids, Cartridges, CBD, essential oils, and other cannabinoids. THC content should be less than 0.3%.

Full-spectrum and broad-spectrum are similar, but the broad spectrum is almost entirely THC-free. And lastly, the isolate is pure CBD and is usually extracted from Cannabis sativa. Due to the “entourage effect,” which refers to the potential synergistic effects of different phytocannabinoids and other plant constituents, broad- or full-spectrum CBD products have historically shown some clinical benefits.
